What it means to be alive:

It often feels that we live in a world where those that surround us dictate what direction our lives move. What experiences we have before we're old and grey.

And during these large spans of time in our lives, we question what our usefulness is, why we're 'here', instead, of somewhere else in the universe.

Spiders and their webs seem to give a little glimpse into a world that we, ourselves, find that we cannot escape.

We build webs around us, whether it be of friends, or of actions we've felt needed to be done. And we keep intricately tracing a pattern that can only be seen when light hits it. No matter where we might be in the world.

The elements rip at our webs (lives), tearing it, drenching it, and sometimes even destroying it, yet we get up again, sometimes after much contemplation, to rebuild.

Perhaps the answers to life and what it means to exist are all around us in ways we have yet to discover, or maybe we have and have over looked them because we are blinded by things that we have no control over.

But, in the end, like a spider, we live another day and start again, the wisdom of such being unique and silent. Something you would have to stare hours at to find a ray of truth.

. . . Or, simply creating your web again, as some pieces, as almost invisible as they are, still exist where they were first made.
